Temporary cessation and extinction of integrated environmental authorisation.

Authorise, for the sole purpose of protecting the environment and people's health, the temporary cessation of the installation or facilities for a maximum period of two years; after which, the activity must be restarted within a period of one month or proceed to the definitive closure of the same. The termination of the AAI will be declared at the request of a party, once compliance with all the legal requirements for this purpose has been verified, but it may also be declared ex officio in the event of the unreported abandonment of the activity.

Requirements

The conditions established for this purpose in the integrated environmental authorisation must be met. In this case, the activity may be resumed by submitting a new communication to the Environmental Administration.
A change of ownership of the facility or activity may also be carried out, which will not be considered as new, but will maintain the existing authorisation.

Request for temporary suspension or termination of the AAI.

Written description of the real situation of the facility and application for the administrative agreement to be obtained.

Presentation in pdf format and electronically signed. If deemed appropriate, a plan may also be attached with the necessary measures aimed at removing, retaining or reducing the relevant hazardous substances, so that the site does not create a significant risk to their current or future uses. If it is not submitted, this basic report may be requested later by the investigating body.
