Requirements
  1. The following may be beneficiaries of these subsidies:
     
    a) Local Entities of Cantabria that are owners of exhibition halls or cinema complexes.
     
    b) Private companies, whether natural persons (individual entrepreneurs) or private legal persons in the form of a company (commercial or civil companies) that are owners of cinemas or cinema complexes located in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, and that meet the following requirements:
     
  • Have legal residence or establishment in Spain.
  • Be registered with the Economic Activities Tax, under the heading corresponding to audiovisual projection activities in cinemas.
  • Be registered in the Administrative Register of Cinematographic Companies of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts.
  • Maintain, during the year 2025, a stable and continuous programming in the exhibition hall or cinema complex.
     
    2. The requirements for obtaining the status of beneficiary must be maintained during the investigation of the procedure for granting the subsidies and until the complete justification of the subsidy that, if applicable, is granted.

The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 working days, counted from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of Cantabria of the extract of the call, in accordance with article 20.8.a) of Law 38/2003, of 17 November.

Art. 14. 2 of the Law 39/2015, of 1 October, of the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations, establishes the obligatory nature of the electronic management for certain subjects as, for example, a) The juridical persons, b) Entities without legal personality, c) Those who carry out a professional activity for which compulsory membership is required, for the procedures and actions they carry out with the Public Administrations in the exercise of said professional activity. In any case, within this group, notaries and property and mercantile registrars shall be included. d) Those who represent an interested party who is obliged to relate electronically with the Administration, e) The employees of the Public Administrations for the procedures and actions that they carry out with them due to their condition of public employee, in the form in which it is determined by regulation by each Administration.
Place(s) for in-person submission

Interested parties will submit their subsidy applications in the place that corresponds to them according to their legal nature, in accordance with the rules contained in Article 14 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October:
 
a) Individual entrepreneurs (self-employed professionals) may submit their application in any of the places provided for in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, and in Article 134.8 of Cantabria Law 5/2018, of 22 November.
 
b) The rest of the applicant companies (commercial or civil companies) and Local Entities must submit their application by electronic means, either in the Common Electronic Registry of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, available in its Electronic Office (https://sede.cantabria.es); or in the electronic register of any of the subjects referred to in Article 2.1 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October.

Type

Against the resolution of the procedure, which puts an end to the administrative route, an appeal for reconsideration may be filed, optionally, before the head of the competent department in matters of Culture or, directly, a contentious administrative appeal in the High Court of Justification of Cantabria.
