Subsidies for the modernisation and sustainable management of performing arts and music infrastructures.

This line of subsidies on a competitive basis is aimed at the owners of performing arts and music spaces and aims at the modernisation and sustainable management of their infrastructures.
Two lines of subsidy are established:

A. Aid for scenic spaces with a capacity equal to or greater than 1,000 people.
B. Aid for scenic spaces with a capacity of less than 1,000 people.

Requirements

Requirements
  • Individuals and legal entities, both public and private, owners of spaces intended for the performing and musical arts may be beneficiaries of these subsidies. They must carry out the activity for which they are requesting a subsidy in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria and have regular activity in performing arts and music.
  • The stage space for which the subsidy is requested must be located in a municipality in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria.
  • The infrastructures for which the subsidy is requested will be auditoriums, theatres and concert halls that have a regular programme throughout the year for performing arts and music, this activity being the one that generates most of its income.
  • Groups of natural or legal persons that do not have their own legal personality, such as communities of property or any other type of economic unit or separate patrimony, will not be able to access the status of beneficiary.
  • Applications aimed exclusively at training or amateur practice will not be able to access the status of beneficiary.
  • Those who incur in any of the circumstances established in article 12 of the Law of Cantabria 10/2006, of 17 July, may not obtain the status of beneficiary.
  • Given the direct link of this aid to the Plan for the Modernisation, Transformation and Resilience of the Spanish Economy, the beneficiaries may only be those who have permanent tax residence in Spanish territory.
  • The beneficiary of the subsidy must be the executor in economic terms of the investment presented in the project.

Art. 14. 2 of the Law 39/2015, of 1 October, of the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations, establishes the obligatory nature of the electronic management for certain subjects as, for example, a) The juridical persons, b) Entities without legal personality, c) Those who carry out a professional activity for which compulsory membership is required, for the procedures and actions they carry out with the Public Administrations in the exercise of said professional activity. In any case, within this group, notaries and property and mercantile registrars shall be included. d) Those who represent an interested party who is obliged to relate electronically with the Administration, e) The employees of the Public Administrations for the procedures and actions that they carry out with them due to their condition of public employee, in the form in which it is determined by regulation by each Administration.
Place(s) for in-person submission

Those interested may submit applications to the Registry of the competent departments in matters of Culture (C/ Lealtad 24, Santander) or through the Common Electronic Registry (REC), available at the Electronic Headquarters of the Government of Cantabria, or in any of the places indicated in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, and article 134.8 of Cantabria Law 5/2018 of 22 November. In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, legal persons and those who represent them are obliged to interact with public administrations through electronic means.

Type
