For the application for recognition, the standard application form must be submitted to the competent department in matters of Casas de Cantabria, duly signed with an electronic certificate of a natural person representing a legal person, in the general electronic registry of the Government of Cantabria or in any of the electronic registries provided for by law, accompanied by the following documents:
a) Certification issued by the person who performs the secretariat of the entity with the approval of the person who holds the presidency of the agreement of the competent governing body of the entity regarding the willingness to apply for recognition.
No more than one year must elapse between the agreement of the governing body of the entity and the written request for recognition. If this period has elapsed without the procedure having been initiated, the entity must adopt a new agreement.
b) Certification issued by the person who performs the secretariat of the entity with the approval of the person who occupies the presidency of the number of people who are part of the entity in their capacity as members.
c) Accreditation of its constitution as a non-profit entity in accordance with the legal system applicable in the territory in which its headquarters are located.
If the entity is based outside Spanish territory, the accreditation must be accompanied by a declaration of responsibility signed by the legal representative of the entity, stating that the entity is incorporated in accordance with the legal requirements applicable in the country of residence.
d) Current statutes of the entity together with a declaration of responsibility signed by the person who performs the secretary of the entity with the approval of the person who occupies the presidency affirming the validity of the same and, where appropriate, the deposit in the competent public registry and indication of the same. The statutes must include the minimum content established in the basic applicable legislation.
e) Tax identification number or equivalent.
The name shall include the expression 'Casa de Cantabria', followed by the name of the Autonomous Community, town or country where its headquarters are located.
To obtain recognition, the statutes of the entity must expressly include, among its basic objectives, the maintenance of cultural, social and economic ties with Cantabria, its people, its history, its traditions and its culture.
The Casas de Cantabria that have their headquarters outside Spain may also use any other valid means admitted by law that allows the reality of the communication made and the identity of the senders and receivers of the same to be accredited.

Appeals
- Type
Against the Resolution that is adopted, which puts an end to the administrative procedure, an appeal for reconsideration may be filed, on an optional basis, before the head of the competent department in matters of Casas de Cantabria, within a period of one month from the day following its publication, or directly a contentious administrative appeal before the Contentious Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Cantabria. Justice of Cantabria within two months from the day following the publication of the resolution.
