Plastic Arts Award Government of Cantabria.

The Government of Cantabria Plastic Arts Award is a show of support for artistic creation in the entire field of national and international art and with a special mention to artists from the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, in the following disciplines: painting, sculpture, photography, engraving and new technologies.

Requirements
  • Each author may submit a single work, and must do so in only one of the following disciplines: Painting, sculpture, photography, engraving and new technologies. The works may not have been exhibited or awarded previously, in the case of submitting works that have been previously exhibited or awarded to the award, the applicant will be excluded in this call and in the next call that is made for these awards, also in the case of presenting more than one work, in one or more disciplines, none of them will be assessed.
  • All artists can participate in this contest, regardless of their nationality. The winners in previous editions may not be awarded again in the same award modality (there are two types of prizes, one open to all artists and the other aimed at artists who were born or have legal residence in Cantabria, called "plastic arts award to the Cantabrian artist"), but they will be able to access the other modality as long as they meet the necessary conditions for it.
  • The works submitted for the award must conform to the following format:

1. The pictorial works may be of free choice theme and technique. Their maximum dimensions may not exceed 200 x 200 cm with a fabric support on a frame or wooden support, without a frame or with a bead or slat of no more than 3 centimetres.
2. The sculptural works may be of free choice theme and technique, with a maximum size of 200 x 200 x 200 cm and a maximum weight of 100 kg.
3. The works of photography may be of free choice theme and technique, in colour or black and white, with a maximum size of 200 x 200 cm, and unframed or with a bead or ribbon of no more than 3 cm.
4. Engraving works, including any multiple reproduction technique, shall be presented unframed or with a bead or ribbon of no more than 3 cm and in any case with a maximum dimensions of 200 x 200 cm.
5. New technologies may be used and installations, videos, digital works, mixed disciplines or any other emerging artistic manifestation not included in the four previous disciplines may be presented (in mobile image works, the work may never exceed three minutes in length).
6. In all disciplines, but especially in photography and engraving, if the work submitted is part of a compact series, this circumstance will be shown in the documentation to be attached to the application for participation, and images from the series may be included in it.

Art. 14. 2 of the Law 39/2015, of 1 October, of the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations, establishes the obligatory nature of the electronic management for certain subjects as, for example, a) The juridical persons, b) Entities without legal personality, c) Those who carry out a professional activity for which compulsory membership is required, for the procedures and actions they carry out with the Public Administrations in the exercise of said professional activity. Place(s) for in-person submission

In the Registry of the competent departments in matters of Culture (C / Lealtad 24, Santander) or through the Common Electronic Registry (REC), available in the Electronic Headquarters of the Government of Cantabria, or in any of the places indicated in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, and article 134.8 of Law of Cantabria 5/2018 of November 22.

Against the resolution of the procedure, which puts an end to the administrative procedure, an optional appeal for reconsideration or directly a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the courts of that jurisdictional order.
