Granting of integrated environmental authorisation.

Authorise, for the sole purpose of protecting the environment and human health, the operation of all or part of a publicly or privately owned facility, under certain conditions designed to ensure that it fulfils the purpose of avoiding or, where this is not possible, reducing and controlling air pollution, water and soil, through the establishment of an integrated pollution prevention and control system; without prejudice to any other licences or authorisations that may be required in accordance with current legislation.

a) The identity of the owner of the installation. b) The identification of each of the sources of emission of atmospheric pollutants, in accordance with the catalogue of potentially polluting activities of the atmosphere. c) The technical documentation necessary to be able to determine the measures relating to operating conditions in situations other than normal ones that may affect the environment. d) The notification prior to the start of waste production and management activities made to the competent body of the Autonomous Community, when mandatory. e) In the case of facilities that carry out waste treatment operations, the documentation required by waste legislation.

1. Detailed description and scope of the activity and facilities, the production processes and the type of product. 2. Documentation that the interested party submits to the competent public administration for the control of activities with an impact on the safety, health of people or the environment. 3. Environmental status of the place where the facility will be located and the possible impacts that are expected, including those that may arise when the operation of the facility ceases. 4. Natural resources, raw and auxiliary materials, substances, water and energy used or generated in the facility. 5. Sources generating the emissions of the installation. 6. Type and quantity of the foreseeable emissions of the installation to the air, water and soil, determination of their significant effects on the environment, and quantity of waste to be generated. 7. Planned technology and other techniques used to prevent and avoid emissions from the installation or, if this is not possible, to reduce them, indicating which of them are considered to be the best available techniques. 8. Measures relating to the application of the order of priority provided for in the waste hierarchy. 9. Measures envisaged to control emissions into the environment and other protective measures. 10. A brief summary of the main alternatives to the proposed technology, techniques and measures, considered by the applicant, if any. 11. In the event that the installation has implemented a Community eco-management and audit system (EMAS), the latest validated environmental statement and its updates shall be provided.
