Exceptional and provisional habilitation for people who work or have worked in professional categories of caregiver, geriatrician, home help assistant and personal assistant, in centers or social services in the field of care of people in a situation of dependency, and who do not have official accreditation of the professional qualification through the corresponding academic degree or certificate of professionalism.

Requirements

For exceptional habilitation:
a) Possess Spanish nationality, have obtained the certificate of registration of Community citizenship or the family card of a citizen of the European Union, or be the holder of a valid residence or residence and work permit in Spain, under the terms established in the Spanish regulations on foreigners and immigration.
b) That the last company where they provided their services is located in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria.
c) Prove that on 31 December 2017 they had at least three years' work experience, with a minimum of 2,000 hours worked, in the last 12 years in the professional category in which they are applying for the exceptional habilitation, or without reaching the minimum required experience, they had worked and have a minimum of 300 hours of training related to the experience with the competencies professionals from among the following: Caregiver, Geriatrician, Home Help Assistant, Personal Assistant.
d) Not having official accreditation for the exercise of the profession, through the qualifications or certifications detailed in Order UMA/17/2018, of 24 April, or their equivalents for employment purposes.For provisional habilitation:
a) Those established in letters a), b) and d) above.
b) To have worked prior to 31 December 2017 in the aforementioned professional categories, without reaching the periods of experience or training established in letter c) above.
c) To commit, by means of a responsible declaration, to participate in processes of evaluation and accreditation of said work experience, or to carry out related training.
In the event of not participating in the processes of evaluation and accreditation of the experience, or not carrying out the related training, the provisional habilitation will cease to have effects.

Documentation accrediting work experience. - Certification from the General Treasury of the Social Security, the Social Institute of the Navy or the mutual society to which they were affiliated, stating the company, the job category (contribution group) and the period of employment (Working life). - Employment contract or certification from the company where they have acquired the work experience, which specifically states the duration of the periods of provision of the contract, the activity carried out and the time interval in which said activity has been carried out.
