Requirements

1.- That the owner of the salon is registered in the Gambling Registry as a salon company.
2.- In the case of gambling halls, a minimum distance between gambling establishments of 500 m., a minimum distance from educational centres of 500 m. and a minimum distance from mental health units for the treatment of gambling addictions of 500 m.
3.- Minimum useful area of the recreational room 50 m² and the game room 150 m².
Article 61 Authorisation of recreational and gaming halls Decree 23/2008 of 6 March:
1.*** Any company registered in the Gambling Register as a gambling hall company must submit an application to the competent department for gambling for provisional authorisation to operate a gaming hall, prior to applying for the corresponding municipal building permit.

2.*** The application for provisional authorisation must be attached:
a)*** Registration number as a salon company in the Cantabria Gambling Registry.
b)*** Basic project of the works and installations of the premises, signed by a competent technician.
c)*** Certificate, issued by a competent technician, attesting to compliance with the requirements established in Article 60 and the legally established distance regime.
d)*** Floor plan on a scale of 1/100, with an indication of the layout of the premises and the corresponding surfaces.
e)*** Document accrediting the constitution of the bond, if applicable.

3.*** The competent departments in gambling matters, in view of the documentation provided, will issue within three months a provisional authorization that will lose its validity, after one month from its notification, without the interested party having requested the corresponding municipal building license.

4.*** The provisional authorisation will be automatically made definitive on the date of presentation to the competent department for gambling of the corresponding municipal licence to open the establishment.
5.*** In no case will the show be put into operation until the final authorisation has been obtained.

Place(s) for in-person submission

In accordance with the provisions of Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. Interested parties may submit their applications to the following Registries:

  • In the electronic register of the Administration or Body to which they are addressed, as well as in the other electronic registers of any of the subjects referred to in Article 2.1.
  • At Post Offices, in the manner established by regulations.
  • At the diplomatic representations or consular offices of Spain abroad.
  • At registration assistance offices.
  • In any other established by the provisions in force.
