Documentation necessary to process the authorization of a traditional bullfighting show.

Requirements

Application submission deadline:

  • If it is a show that is going to be held in a fixed bullring, the organizer will make a COMMUNICATION to this Administration, at least 5 days before the date of celebration.
  • If it is a show that is going to be held in a portable bullring, the application for its AUTHORIZATION must be submitted at least 5 days before the date of celebration.

Application: Both the applications for authorisation and the communications will include the following details: personal data of the applicant, organising company, type of show, place, day and time of celebration and poster announcing the celebration, which will indicate the number, class and origin of the cattle to be fought, name of the bullfighters, number and classes of tickets, their prices and the place, day and hours of sale to the public, as well as the conditions of the subscription, if any.
Documentation to be submitted:

  1. Certification of an architect, architect-technician or quantity surveyor, stating that the bullring, whatever its category, meets the necessary safety conditions for the celebration of the show in question.
  2. Certification from the head of the medical-surgical team of the position that the infirmary meets the minimum conditions necessary for the purpose to which it is dedicated and is equipped with the material and personal elements established by regulations.
  3. Veterinary certification that the corrals, pigsties, stables and skinners meet the appropriate hygienic and sanitary conditions, as well as the existence of the necessary material for the post-mortem examination" required by current regulations.
  4. Certification from the City Council of the town in which the authorisation of the celebration of the show is recorded in cases where this is mandatory or where the square is covered by the corresponding municipal licence.
  5. Copy of the contracts with the matadors or companies that represent them and certification from the Social Security stating the registration of the company and the registration of the performers, as well as being up to date with the payment of Social Security contributions.
  6. Certifications from the Stud Book of the Fighting Cattle Breed relating to the cattle to be fought, including hats.
  7. Copy of the contract of sale of the cattle.
  8. Copy of the horse contract.
  9. Certification of the constitution of the insurance referred to in article 91, 1, e), of Royal Decree 145/1996, of 2 February, which modifies and redrafts the Regulations on Bullfighting Shows.
  10. In bullfights and bullfights in which one or two swords are announced, a sword outstanding will also be included, who will be an active professional registered in the Section of the General Register of Professionals that corresponds to the category of the show.


    The competent body will warn the interested party within twenty-four hours about any defects in the documentation for the possible correction of the same and will issue the corresponding resolution, granting or denying the requested authorisation, within forty-eight hours of the date on which the required documentation has been completed.

Art. 14. 2 of the Law 39/2015, of 1 October, of the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations, establishes the obligatory nature of the electronic management for certain subjects as, for example, a) The juridical persons, b) Entities without legal personality, c) Those who carry out a professional activity for which compulsory membership is required, for the procedures and actions they carry out with the Public Administrations in the exercise of said professional activity.
