- TEMPORARY CLOSURE FOR HOLIDAYS:
The Official College of Pharmacists will submit the applications of pharmacy owners for temporary closure for holidays at least one month before the closing date.
In those municipalities that have at least two pharmacies, they may remain closed for holidays for a period that may not exceed one month each year. In this case, at least 50% of the pharmacy offices in the municipality must remain open to the public.
In those municipalities that only have one pharmacy, the closure for holidays will be conditional on the possibility of accessing from it, a pharmacy open to the public, in a maximum time of fifteen minutes, using the usual means of transport.- TEMPORARY CLOSURES FOR OTHER REASONS:
The owner of the pharmacy office will submit the request for temporary closure justifying the causes of the closure, which may not exceed two years, and will be conditional on pharmaceutical assistance being guaranteed to the population.
The resumption of activities in the pharmacy office will be requested from the Department of Health, either by the owner who closed it or by any other pharmacist who has acquired it in accordance with current regulations.
When the closure occurs in a pharmaceutical area or single pharmacy locality, the competent body of the Department of Health may suspend the execution of the closure authorisation, as long as a first aid kit is not authorised and open to the public, without the suspension of closure being longer than one year.
