Authorise by the competent environmental body of the Autonomous Community where they are located, the fixed and/or mobile facilities where waste treatment operations are to be carried out (including storage in the area of collection awaiting treatment), the extension, substantial modification or transfer of said facilities, as well as treatment operations, when the natural or legal person who is going to carry out the treatment operations is the owner of the treatment facility where these operations are to be carried out.

Requirements

Be the owner of a fixed or mobile facility where storage operations are to be carried out in the field of waste collection or treatment located in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, and carry out treatment operations in said facility, provided that their domicile or headquarters are also located in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, ensuring compliance with the obligations established in Section 1 of CHAPTER II of Law 7/2022, of 8 April, on waste and contaminated soil for a circular economy (BOE no. 85, of 9 April 2022), on waste management.
In the event that the facility is included in the scope of application of the revised text of the Law on integrated pollution prevention and control approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2016, of 16 December; in this case, the owner of the facility must apply for an Integrated Environmental Authorisation (AAI).
If you are not the owner of the mobile facility, you must apply for authorization to operate waste treatment.
