Submission of applications for the award of practical training grants in the Laboratory Area.

The purpose of this procedure is to submit applications for the award of grants for practical training and specialisation in the field of the laboratory.
The scholarships will be awarded to carry out studies and practical training work in elementary laboratory techniques, in the areas of microbiology, serology, virology, parasitology, bromatology, agri-food analysis, instrumental analysis, molecular biology.
The research and analysis of samples will be related to livestock production and animal health and welfare.
Beneficiaries of the scholarships may be people who are in possession of a university degree in Veterinary Medicine, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Pharmacy, Food Science and Technology, Chemical Engineering or a double degree that includes any of these degrees.

Activity centre: the work will be carried out in the Laboratory and Control Service.

Requirements

BENEFICIARIES:
Persons who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of the scholarships provided for in this Order:
a) Not have been dismissed from the service of any Administration or Institution as a result of disciplinary proceedings.
b) To be in possession of a university degree in Veterinary Medicine, in Biological Sciences, in Chemical Sciences, in Pharmacy, in Food Science and Technology, in Chemical Engineering or a double degree university degree that includes any of these degrees.
No more than 3 years may have elapsed since the issuance of the degree or, where appropriate, from the date of payment of the corresponding issuance fees, to the date of the end of the deadline for submitting applications.
However, graduates of the degrees listed in the first paragraph of point b) of this article, who have also completed postgraduate studies and are in possession of the Official University Master's or Doctorate Degrees, may also be beneficiaries, provided that:
- No more than 1 year has elapsed since the issuance of the postgraduate degree or, where applicable, from the date of payment of the corresponding issuance fees, until the date of the end of the deadline for submission of applications.
- Access to postgraduate studies has been made from the University Degree qualifications required in the first paragraph of point b) of this article.
The qualifications submitted by applicants must be officially recognised and recognised, as well as be fully valid in Spain. In particular, they must comply with the provisions of Royal Decree 822/2021, of 28 September, which establishes the organisation of official university education.
c) Not be subject to any of the prohibitions of article 12.2 of the Law of Cantabria 10/2006, of 17 July, on Subsidies.
d) They have not previously renounced any scholarship granted by the Department of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and the Environment.
e) Not to have been a beneficiary of a training grant in the Administration of the Autonomous Community for two or more years.

Place(s) for in-person submission

Applications to take part in each call will be addressed to the Minister of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food. They will be submitted to the Registry of the Departments of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food (C/ Albert Einstein, Nº 2, 39011 Santander, Cantabria) or by any of the means established in article 134.8 of the Law of Cantabria 5/2018 of November 22 on the Legal Regime of the Government, the Administration and the Institutional Public Sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria and in article 16.4 of the Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
