The purpose of this procedure is to process aid for the quarantine periods of cattle, sheep and goat farms subject to sanitary gaps due to the detection of brucellosis, bovine tuberculosis, ovine and caprine brucellosis or ovine and caprine tuberculosis, within the framework of the livestock sanitation campaigns of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria.

The beneficiaries will be the owners of farms in which, due to the official confirmation of an outbreak of tuberculosis or brucellosis, a sanitary vacuum has been created, in the period between January 1, 2023 and the date of publication of the call.
a) Be up to date with tax and Social Security obligations, as well as be up to date with their obligations with the Treasury of the Government of Cantabria, and comply with the rest of the requirements set out in articles 12.2 and 12.3 of Law 10/2006, of 17 July on Subsidies of Cantabria.
b) They must be farms of livestock producers in activity, and that the farms have the status of SMEs in accordance with Annex 1 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/2472 of 14 December 2022.
c) The farm must be registered in the REGA (General Register of Livestock Farms).
(d) The holding is not subject to a pending recovery order following a previous decision by the Commission declaring aid to be illegal and incompatible with the internal market.
(e) That it is not a firm in difficulty as defined in Article 2 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/2472 of 14 December 2022, and in the Community guidelines on State aid for rescuing and restructuring firms in difficulty, in accordance with the Guidelines on State aid for rescuing and restructuring non-financial undertakings in difficulty (Communication 2014/C 249/01, of 31 July 2014, as amended by Commission Communication C/2023/1212 of 29 November 2023 amending the Guidelines on State aid for rescuing and restructuring non-financial undertakings in difficulty, as regards the period of application).
