The Literary Awards of the Government of Cantabria will be convened as a show of support for literary creation throughout the Spanish language, establishing the following modalities:
A. Manuel Llano Short Story Prize.
B. Gerardo Diego Poetry Prize.
C. José María de Pereda Short Novel Prize.

Requirements

All authors may participate in these awards, regardless of their nationality, except for the winners of previous editions.
Only one work per author may be submitted, in each award modality.
The work, whose content and form will be free, must meet the following requirements:
a) Be written in Spanish.
b) It will be submitted without a signature, under a pseudonym, with a title or slogan and by means of the escrow system, in the terms provided for in art. 4 of Order UIC/11/2021, of 22 March, which establishes the regulatory bases for the awarding of the Government of Cantabria Literary Awards, with correction of errors in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 89, of 11 May 2021.
c) It shall be presented on paper in DIN A-4 size, in triplicate, typed double-spaced, on one side duly paginated, with the title or motto corresponding to the work as a whole, and must lack any detail that may allow the author to be identified. In the calls for the Manuel Llano and José María de Pereda Awards, the number of lines per page will be specified, and in those of the Gerardo Diego Prize, the number of verses per page.
d) Its extension and characteristics will be as follows:
In the Manuel Llano Prize, the length of the work will not be less than 70 pages nor more than 170. The number of lines per page will not exceed 35 or less than 20, with font size of 12/13 points. The minimum number of stories in the work will be five, with no maximum limit.
In the José María de Pereda Prize, the length of the work will not be less than 150 pages nor more than 350. The number of lines per page will not exceed 35 or less than 20, with font size of 12/13 points.
In the Gerardo Diego Prize, the length of the work will not be less than 400 verses nor more than 700.
3. The author will guarantee that the work submitted meets the following requirements:
a) Be original and unpublished (works that have appeared, in whole or in part, in a printed publication will be considered published for these purposes).
b) Not to have been previously awarded in any other national or international competition, nor to have entered any other competition whose decision must be made before the resolution of the Prize to which these rules refer.
c) The copyright of the work has not been assigned to third parties, nor has its future transfer been compromised.

In the Registry of the competent departments in matters of Culture (C / Lealtad 24, Santander), or in any of the places indicated in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, and article 134.8 of Cantabria Law 5/2018 of November 22. However, in accordance with the provisions of Article 16.5 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations, it will not be possible to submit the application electronically due to the need to submit documentation in escrow with it.
