Labour intermediation is the set of actions that aim to put job offers in contact with workers who are looking for a job, for their labour insertion. The purpose of labor intermediation is to provide workers with employment appropriate to their characteristics and to provide employers with the most appropriate workers for their requirements and needs. Career guidance is the set of actions that aim to provide information, diagnosis of the individual situation, advice, motivation and support in job transitions, either from education to the world of work or between the various employment and unemployment situations that may occur throughout working life. All this is intended to help users improve their employability, promote their professional career and facilitate their recruitment or guidance towards self-employment.
Likewise, and based on the diagnosis of their needs, the guidance may lead to the provision of other specialised services from the common portfolio of services of the National Employment System.
