Habilitation of service companies in the field of industrial safety. Installation, maintenance and maintenance companies in all regulatory areas subject to industrial safety: Gas, thermal installations (RITE), high and low voltage electrical installations, refrigeration systems, PPL, pressure equipment, fire protection and lifting equipment. Engineering, design, technological consultancy and technical assistance services of an industrial nature directly related to industries, activities and facilities.
The habilitation is made by responsible declaration. It is not necessary to present documentation accrediting compliance with the requirements together with the declaration of responsibility. However, this documentation must be available for immediate presentation to the competent Administration when it so requires in the exercise of its powers of inspection, verification and control.

  • Natural or legal persons established in Cantabria or companies legally established to carry out this activity in any other Member State of the European Union that wish to carry out the activity under the freedom to provide services in Spanish territory and are going to start this activity in Cantabria.
  • Have the documentation that identifies the company, which in the case of a legal entity must be legally incorporated.
  • Have the technical and human resources necessary to carry out the activity in safe conditions.
  • Have taken out professional civil liability insurance or other equivalent guarantee that covers damage that may be caused in the provision of the service.
  • Make the payment of the fee for registration in the industrial registry of service companies.

Art. 14. 2 of the Law 39/2015, of 1 October, of the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations, establishes the obligatory nature of the electronic management for certain subjects as, for example, a) The juridical persons, b) Entities without legal personality, c) Those who carry out a professional activity for which compulsory membership is required, for the procedures and actions they carry out with the Public Administrations in the exercise of said professional activity. In person (only individuals): At the Registration Assistance Office of the Departments of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Commerce located at the Science and Technology Park of Cantabria, C/Albert Einstein, 2 in Santander or at any of the established places referred to in article 134 of the Law of Cantabria 5/2018, of 22 November, on the Legal Regime of the Government, the Administration and the Institutional Public Sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria.

If the application is sent by post, it must be submitted in an open envelope so that the name of the office and the date, place, hour and minute of its admission by the postal staff are clearly stated at the head of the first page of the document, in accordance with the provisions of Article 31 of Royal Decree 1829/1999. of 3 December, which approves the Regulation regulating the provision of postal services insofar as it does not conflict with Law 43/2010, of 30 December, on the universal postal service, on the rights of users and the postal market.
