Requirements

COMPANY CERTIFICATES:
Natural or legal persons established in Cantabria.
It is required to employ personnel in possession of the personal certificate provided for in Royal Decree 115/2017, of 17 February, or issued by any other country of the European Union, in sufficient numbers to cover the expected volume of activities.
That said personnel dedicated to the activities that require certification have access to the necessary instruments and procedures.
Payment of the fee is required prior to the start of the procedure.
The following company certificates are issued:

  • Company certificate for the intervention of fixed refrigeration appliances, fixed air conditioners and fixed heat pumps containing any load of fluorinated greenhouse gases.
  • Company certificate for intervention in fixed refrigeration appliances, fixed air conditioners and fixed heat pumps containing a load of less than 3 kg of fluorinated greenhouse gases.
  • Company certificate for intervention in fixed fire protection systems and fire extinguishers containing certain fluorinated greenhouse gases.

PERSONAL CERTIFICATES:
It is required to have the qualification, experience, professional card or completion of a course, established in Annex I of Royal Decree 115/2017 of 17 February, for each of the existing certificates.
Payment of the fee is required prior to the start of the procedure.
The following types of personal certificates are issued:

  • Personal certificate for handling equipment with refrigeration systems of any charge of fluorinated refrigerants.
  • Personal certificate for handling equipment with refrigeration systems charging refrigerant less than 3 kg of fluorinated gases.
  • Personal certificate for handling refrigeration systems that use fluorinated refrigerants intended for the thermal comfort of people installed in vehicles.
  • Personal certificate for handling fire protection equipment that uses fluorinated gases as an extinguishing agent.
  • Personal certificate for handling solvents containing fluorinated gases and equipment that uses them.
  • Personal certificate for sulphur hexafluoride recovery from high-voltage switchgear equipment.
  • Personal certificate for the handling of equipment with refrigeration systems of any charge of fluorinated refrigerants (REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT ONLY).
  • Personal certificate for the handling of equipment with refrigeration systems charging refrigerant less than 3 kg of fluorinated gases (REFRIGERATED TRANSPORT ONLY).

MUTUAL RECOGNITION:
Mutual recognition applies to personal and company certificates issued in other Member States of the European Union. Any Member State may require holders of certificates issued in another Member State to submit a translation of the certificate into another official Community language.
